Photography 101 & AI

Taught by Chris Brown II, Dekalb Arts Academy

Chris, 14, delivers a peer-to-peer demo of his camera and the portfolio he submitted to earn his seat into the #1 Art High School. He’ll give his recipe for what makes a good photograph and how to spot a fake in this new age of AI.

Awareness. Visual communication accounts for 50% of our brain's processing; it's pretty important to understand how it all works together and the artist's responsibility to their global audience. We believe the topics of ethical AI usage and continuing AI education for users should be raised and addressed in every conversation.

What’s Good, Chat? (Lesson)

Chris uses his “Is It Real?” game examples to show what makes a good photograph, focusing on subject, lighting, and utilizing techniques like the rule of thirds.
